This o-ring measures approximately 15-1/2” outside diameter and about 3/8” thickness. Captain O-Ring’s replacement 27001-0061S uses the same mold as the OEM o-ring that came with your filter (not just a close aftermarket substitute), so you can expect an o-ring that fits exactly like the one that came with your filter when it was brand new. The o-ring is molded from OEM spec synthetic rubber for long lasting performance and durability, keeping your filter humming along at peak performance while you enjoy your pool or spa.

How to know when it’s time to replace your o-ring? It’s best practice to replace your filter’s o-ring every 2-3 years to maintain optimal performance and prevent leaks. However, water conditions and the tightness of the filter closure can affect service life. If you notice signs of wear or damage (cracks, cuts, or other deformation) to your o-ring, it’s best to replace it sooner. The o-ring will eventually wear out from being compressed in the filter band over the course of the year/years. If you notice your filter dripping at the seam/band between the top and bottom halves of the filter, then it’s time to replace your o-ring to restore your filter back to peak performance.
