These Captain O-Ring keyboard switch dampener o-rings can be quickly installed on the stems of your keyboard keys to prevent keys from bottoming out. Bottoming out occurs when a key is pressed down to its limit, causing the key stem to collide with the switch casing. This results in a loud "clacking" noise while typing that affects virtually every mechanical keyboard. Captain O-Ring's keyboard dampeners provide a shock absorber at the bottom of each key to create a consistent, uniform sound while typing. These dampeners also reduce the travel of keys by 0.2mm, which greatly reduces finger fatigue.
Durable EPDM rubber o-rings don't crack like black buna o-rings typically do in this application.
To install, simply remove each key, place o-ring around the stem, and replace each key. Installation typically takes 4-5 minutes for the entire keyboard and lasts the life of the keyboard.
